Stettler Minor Lacrosse Association celebrates the ancient traditions of Canada’s National Summer Sport, given to us by the First Nations people of North America. This celebrated and traditional sport carries centuries of tradition into each and every game, where quick hands, fast feet, and true hearts showcase “The Fastest Sport on Two Feet”. Open to everyone, ages 3 and up, Lacrosse promotes team participation with an all in-all out style of play, similar to basketball. Body Contact is allowed, but only on a ball carrier-so passing is key! For those who love the game, it is the quick shifts, speed and quirkiness of the incredibly bouncy ball, the strategy of key plays, and fleetness of passes that brings them back and entices new fans to come on board.
Played indoors on the arena floor is how Box Lacrosse became well known as a Canadian Game. Our short spring season begins in early April with Playoffs occurring in June, and Provincials set for July of each year. We have teams available for all ages and will host games and practices at the Stettler Recreation Centre once the ice is removed. Wanting to know more? Contact us and register through our website www.stettlerlacrosse.com or message us through Facebook. “Try It” nights will be announced shortly, so come give us a try! We are available to present in your schools, clubs, or at special events.
