Stettler pool undergoing maintenance

The Aquatic Centre in the Stettler Recreation Centre is currently closed to public usage. The return date is yet to be determined for citizens to enjoy the Swimming Pool.

Similar to recreational fields around Stettler, SRC and the Aquatic Centre has taken full advantage of the mandatory closing to carry out maintenance and renovations. The list of maintenance includes grouting all tile floors, painting all walls from seven feet down, polishing the waterslide, and painting the slide's staircase.

“Every surface has been touched either by paint, grout, or polish.” said Sonia Dodd, Aquatic Manager at SRC.

Roofing is also on the list of maintenance work being done on SRC and the Aquatic Centre.

When SRC opens up the pool, restrictions and limitations will be in effect. Dodd mentioned that public swim, which includes Toonie Swim, will likely not be happening. Family Swim will be offered but with guidelines which follow COVID-19 policies.

An advanced sign-up schedule will also be implemented for all activities in the Aquatic Centre.

“I’m thankful the Spray Park is now opened and people have that to enjoy”. Said Dodd.
