The Stettler & District Food Bank is a registered charity run and organized by volunteers from in order to provide food to families in need. Receiving donations is a vital part of the food banks successful operations.


Food Bank volunteers take every precaution to ensure a safe and healthy environment in the preparation of hampers.

Food Donations


If you have a donation there is a drop box in the front lobby of the church, the doors are open from 9:00 am to Noon, Monday - Friday except holidays.


We accept donations of:

  • Non-perishable food items

  • Toiletries

  • Grocery Store Gift Cards

  • Cash ~ Tax receipts are issued for any donations of $10.00 or more. Cash donations can be left at the United Church Office (please make sure it is clearly marked "Food Bank"


***WE CANNOT accept: Home canning, eggs and wild or uninspected meats.***

Guidelines for Clients

  • Remember that this is a volunteer operation and everyone is doing their very best

  • The church lends the space but is not in charge of the food bank


Frequently Asked Questions

1. How many times can I access the food bank?

Households with children can access the food bank twice a month two weeks apart, while singles or couples can visit once a month.

2. What do I need to bring in order to apply for the food bank?

Each applicant must bring in photo identification for every member of the household and AB Health Care cards for any children.
