Stettler Community Support Centre strengthens our community by empowering and supporting people while helping them move towards independence, we help clients recognize and reach their potential while respecting the uniqueness of each person and his or her individual way of learning. Our approach is client-centered and holistic.
Stettler Crisis Aid Program
The Crisis Aid Program is a non profit organization founded in 2013 and was originally known as the Stettler Emergency Relief Fund. This program is funded 100% by donations raised within the community and receives no government funding at all.
A crisis is a broad variety of situations in which an individual or family cannot meet a basic necessity, cannot maintain a reserved living condition, or meet essential medical needs.
We are a last resort financial assistance program.
Harm Reduction Program
Harm Reduction Program is sponsored by Red Deer Turning Point and provides our community with safe harm reduction materials for high risk behavior free of charge. A collaboration between community organizations and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Various community organizations host free tax preparation clinics and arrange for volunteers to complete tax returns for eligible individuals who have a modest income and a simple tax situation.
