Join us for the Shelterbelt and Tree Care Workshop on March 27, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the Rumsey Community Hall. Cost is $25/person, and snacks will be provided.
This workshop is hosted by Starland County, along with the County of Stettler and Kneehill county.
Choosing select trees to fit your land, soil, and location.
Site selection and preparation of trees and shrubs.
Maintenance and care (planting, watering, weeds, and mulch).
Basic pruning, including roses and fruit trees, with a possible demo.
Minimizing environmental damage.
Managing pests and diseases.
County funding programs.
Drought – working with it and around it.
