Latest Municipal and School Board Election Information


The Municipal Election in Alberta is set for October 18, 2021


In Stettler County, there are five sets of elections ongoing.


County of Stettler

Two of Seven wards were filled by acclamation. (candidates marked with * are incumbent)

Ward 1: Byemoor-Endiang: Les Stulberg* (acclaimed)

Ward 2: Big Valley: Dave Grover*, Lance Neilson, Terry Schiffner, Dustan Wawzkiewicz

Ward 3: Botha-Gadsby: Dianne Baird, Larry Clarke*

Ward 4: Erskine South-Warden: Earl Marshall, James Nibourg*

Ward 5: Stettler: Ernie Gendre*, Sarina Gosse, Wanda Niehaus, Jeremy Verhoeven

Ward 6: Erskine-Buffalo Lake: Cheri Neitz*, Justin Stevens

Ward 7: Donalda-Red Willow: Paul McKay (acclaimed)


Important dates: Wednesday, October 6, 2021, 7:00 PM - Candidates Forum for the 2021 County of Stettler Municipal Election. This event is co-hosted by the Stettler Regional Board of Trade and the Stettler Public Library. Questions must be submitted before the event to Stettler Board of Trade. This Forum is planned to be held at The Hub, Stettler Recreation Centre, 6202-44 Avenue, Stettler, Alberta. 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

Thursday, October 14 and Friday, October 15 from 10 AM - 8 PM

Monday, October 18 from 10:00 AM - 8 PM
