Fairy Gardening 101:

StettlerLocal.com August 25, 2022 @ 5:00pm

Fairy Gardens are miniature garden spaces that tell a story or show a scene. They can have themes such as fairy tales and are only limited by your imagination. You can even have a fairy garden indoors in a pot!

To make your own fairy garden, first decide what kind of space you want to fill and pick a theme to follow. Try to have your garden tell a story or show a scene.

The next step is to collect your ornaments for the space. You can buy them new and in sets or scour garage sales and thrift stores for older ornaments and decorations to take home and paint to suit your project. Fairy Gardens can be a great way to upcycle!

Add coloured rocks or sticks to create pathways, with small plants to add some extra colour and whimsy.

Once your garden is complete, keep it in a sheltered area to protect the decorations from wind and rain.
