The market kicked off in May and will continues to stay open until the Christmas Market in November. The market runs every Tuesday from 3 pm to 4 pm for seniors and people with compromised immune systems and from 4 pm to 7 pm the market is open to the public.
The market takes place in front of the Stettler Agri-plex building weather permitting.
Alana Weaver, a market manager for this year's market, explained how people are still happy to come out and shop locally.
"This year, we have had more vendors than in the past; currently, we have about 37 vendors coming. It has been busy; people are coming out to support the community. Concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been following all instructions from AHS, we have arrows on the floor to direct people, as well as signs put up to inform people that if they have symptoms of COVID-19, you will be asked to leave. We have hand sanitizing stations, and we are also encouraging people to protect themselves. Along with that, we have hired some summer students to help with the cleaning." - Alana Weaver, Stettler Farmers Market Manager
Another vendor at the market, Christa with Down Home Custom Vinyl and Metal Work, stated that there is a considerable difference this year compared to last year, as people are not spending as much money as they were in past years.
With lots of freshly grown food for sale and other wonderful items, the market has something for everyone. You can vendors such as Thistle Hill Farms, Green Gatsby Garden Co, Fireside Winery, Buffalo Baskets and many more!
