Stettler Variety Showcase

We are always in need of new Board Members and volunteers to help out at our shows. If you are interested in promoting arts and culture in our community and enjoy seeing many artists, please contact us.

Stettler Variety Showcase is a local not-for-profit, volunteer arts association dedicated to bringing a variety of performances to our community. After finding quality performances a year in advance through the Arts Touring Alliance of Alberta and with the help of a grant from The Alberta Foundation for The Arts, we are able to provide the community with great performances at unbeatable prices. With everything from Country music, to magicians, to comedies, ballet, and more, the Showcase seasons are simply not to be missed!

The association began in 1977 as "Stettler and District Overture Concert Association" with the goal of bringing, to our rural area, quality artists and performances that would usually only be seen in large centers. In 1997 the name changed to "Stettler Variety Showcase"; this highlights our "variety", as we continue to represent a wide range of genres and styles of family entertainment.

The popularity of the historic Overture Concert Series was one of the incentives for our community to build a proper theatre in Stettler. Currently, the PAC is the home of the Sunday concerts and SVS continues to support and contribute to improvements in the Performing Arts Centre. What began as a 4 season show in 1977, has now expanded to Saturday Dinner Shows and four or five Sunday Shows with 2 performances for each artist, in the PAC. Our Board is advertising and hosting the current season concerts, in addition to planning the upcoming season. 7-10 dedicated volunteer Board members make this happen!

Attending live concerts is a great way for community members to spend a winter afternoon or evening. Check out our Season at www.stettlershowcase.com. Come and enjoy a variety of entertainment and take the opportunity to expand your cultural experiences right in your home community.
