The first Stettler Trade Show in three years is back from April 8 to 10, 2022, at the Stettler Recreation Centre, and the Stettler Public Library will be in the middle of the fun! Join us at Booths D86 and D95 in the Red Arena and learn more about what the Stettler Public Library has to offer.
We will be debuting our new Plan of Service that will help us serve you better in the coming years. What is the Plan of Service, you ask? It is the strategic plan each library must submit to the Minister of Municipal Affairs every five years. The Plan of Service is developed based on a community needs assessment, community feedback, and a planning session with the Stettler Library Board, Staff and Friends of the Stettler Library Society.
But that is not all that we are doing at the Trade Show. Come and talk with Library Board members and staff about our current programs and what you would like to see in the future. Try out our Virtual Reality set and travel the world, play a game, or ride a rollercoaster. We will also have some excellent library swag and prizes.
Don’t forget to drop by the Stettler Friends of the Library Society’s Giant Book Sale, which is back on Friday, April 8, from 10 am to 6 pm, and Saturday, April 9, from 10 am to 4 pm. We have some great gently-used books, DVDs and Blu-rays, puzzles, and CDs that you can purchase to put into your own collection. The Friends of the Library would like to thank the whole community for its support of the Giant Book Sale, whether in donations for the book sale or in the upcoming purchases you make. Money from the Giant Book Sale helps fund the programs you participate in at the Stettler Public Library. Bring many empty bags because you will not leave empty-handed!
