Hours:

  • 16 to 32 hrs per week

  • Tuesdays: 3pm - 10pm

  • Backfill evening and weekend shifts for emergencies and staff holidays

  • Weekday office hours are negotiable

ASSISTANT MANAGER

Rairdan Services, Inc. owns and operates the Jewel Theatre, Stettler Community Screens and Reel Good Coffee. Our projects aim to support and promote local businesses and the local economy. We are looking for a qualified, dedicated, professional to fill the position of Part-Time Assistant Manager. This position will oversee operations reporting directly to the Owner with full Office Manager support. This position will be responsible for Reel Good Coffee operations as well as support Jewel Theatre operations.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a sociable, high-energy professional with experience in managing staff in the food service industry. You love taking pictures, creating videos for TikTok, and being the person behind the brand. You like the idea of making a bag of popcorn, engaging with customers, having some time at your desk, and making a Iced Caramel Macchiato for a customer all in the same day. You like supporting your team, that every day is different and troubleshooting is your thing. You love coffee and tea and think gelato should be a food group.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Oversee Reel Good Coffee operations

  • Weekly meeting with the Owner and/or Manager

  • Marketing

    • Social Media Management

      • Follow SM content plan

      • Produce graphics according to branding guidelines

      • Create written content

      • Take great photos and videos and manage media library

  • Video development for ads and promotions

  • Manage all paid and organic advertising campaigns

  • Update website as needed

  • Produce excellent copy (ads, blogs, website content, email marketing, etc)

  • Staff Management

    • Help support and train staff to provide excellent customer service

    • Cover for Reel Good Coffee and Jewel Theatre Supervisors as needed

    • Ensure all workplace policies are being followed

    • Ensure safe food practices

  • Inventory Management

    • Order, track and manage all Reel Good Coffee supplies

    • Manage purchasing budget

  • Menu Planning for Reel Good Coffee (drinks, snacks, gelato, seasonal items)

  • Supporting the Jewel Theatre Manager and theatre operations as needed

  • Other duties as assigned by Manager and Owner

  • Help to keep all areas clean at all times

  • Errands as needed

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Professional attitude and work ethic

  • Excellent written & verbal communications skills

  • Experience managing employees

  • Professional Social Media Management experience

  • Minimum of three years experience in customer service

  • Experience in graphic design and/or web design is preferred

  • Professional references will be required
