Local Spotlight on Travis Randell

StettlerLocal.com March 29 , 2022 @ 3:30pm

Where are you from? Where did you grow up?

I was born in Red Deer and grew up in Innisfail.

Why do you (did you) choose Stettler as home?

I relocated to Stettler in 2014 to grow my career by managing the local Kal Tire. Shortly afterwards, I met my wife, Kaitlyn, who had also recently moved here to pursue a career in nursing. Since then, we started our family here, and we are now proud to call Stettler home.

What do you do? What is your full title?

I manage the local Kal Tire, and I am a Town Councilor with the Town of Stettler.

Education?

I graduated high school in Innisfail and have no post-secondary education. I have been fortunate for many years to have a career with a company that has provided me with on-the-job training and many personal development opportunities.

Family?

I am married to Kaitlyn Randell, and we are proud parents of two sons, ages 2 and 11. My Grandmother has lived here since before I can remember, and both my parents also now live in Stettler.

Who inspired you in your youth? My parents shaped me into the person I am today. They taught me the value of family, honesty, and hard work.

Who inspires you now?

My family inspires me to be my best. I want to be the best role model I can for my children.

Do you have any hobbies?

I enjoy camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with friends and family. I recently started tinkering in 3D design and 3D printing in my spare time.

What are your plans for the future?

I have learned over the past few years that life is short, and things don't always go as planned. I just want to spend as much time as possible enjoying life with my family, whatever life has in store. I am excited to be serving my first term on town council and look forward to what unfolds with this new chapter.

Anything else you would like to add about being a resident of Stettler County?

I never expected to call Stettler home, but over the last eight years, I have become proud to call myself a Stettlerite. I am thankful to this community for everything it has provided my family.
