Where are you from? Where did you grow up?
Born in Calgary and moved to Saskatchewan at 2. I grew up in Sheho Saskatchewan and then we moved to Coronation when I was in grade 5 after which we moved to Donalda.
Why do you (did you) choose Stettler as home?
I love the community of Stettler. It has everything you need, but such a closeness that only a small town can. Everyone knows that if they need help there is always someone willing to help in anyway they can. We come together for many happy and sad events and I feel that as a community we support each other.
What do you do? What is your full title?
I'm the store manager at Home Hardware and I also work part-time at the hospital in the kitchen. I enjoy both jobs!
Education?
I haven't received any post secondary education but have been blessed with alot of training in my job. I've taken a few training courses, seminars and workshops.
Family?
My family is very important to me. I am blessed that most of my immediate family lives close to me. I have 2 children who both live in Stettler and I am very proud of them.
Who inspired you in your youth? I have had some very important family members and wonderful teachers who showed me that hard work and setting goals for yourself are very important and rewarding.
Who inspires you now?
There are too many people who inspire me to list them all but my family, co-workers, and friends all inspire me in different ways. I appreciate them all.
Do you have any hobbies?
I have a few hobbies. I love to read and volunteer for different organizations. I have an insatiable desire to learn new things.
What are your plans for the future?
My future plans seem to be ever changing. I guess that means that I'm always trying to grow?
Anything else you would like to add about being a resident of Stettler County?
I feel that I'm blessed to be part of our wonderful community of Stettler.
