FlareTech in Stettler his hiring a Journeyperson Ironworker (accepting applications for contractors and employees).
We are seeking a journeyperson ironworker to begin immediately on site!
The successful candidate will be able to:
work under minimal supervision.
demonstrate communication skills; written and verbal.
work outdoors in various weather conditions.
fabricate structural steel, ornamental work and pre-cast structures on a variety of projects.
study blueprints, drawing and specifications to determine the layout of work.
position steel units, align holes and insert temporary bolts while checking alignments and joining steel parts using simple torque and hand wrenches.
unload and stack steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed.
know, understand, and operate grinders safely in accordance with safe work practices and procedures.
ability to recognize spool hoisting point and utilize proper rigging techniques and signals while working in a fast-paced environment.
can perform other duties as assigned.
