Join the Buffalo Lake Nature Club for "Exploring the Invasive Species Threats of the Buffalo Lake Area" on Thursday, April 18, 7:00 pm, at St. George's Anglican Church (4817 - 51 Street).


Presenter: Farrah Fischer, County of Stettler No. 6


Farrah has a passion for protecting our environment from Invasive species, which started when she became a Weed Inspector for Special Areas.


She continues to foster this interest as she develops her career as an invasive species manager. Farrah hopes to bring her diverse perspectives from southeastern Alberta, Saskatchewan, and northern Alberta to provide insight on invasive species that are threatening the Buffalo Lake area.


Farrah completed her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan in 2022. She grew up in Special Areas 4, joining the County of Stettler at the beginning of 2024, moving here from Northern Sunrise County.
