North Star Trucking is looking for a person to fill a rock truck driver/packer operator/labourer position. This position is physical and includes indoor/outdoor work in a potentially dusty/noisy environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Valid class 5 driver’s license with zero (or minimal) demerits.
Must have your own vehicle.
Must have a good work ethic.
Must live within commuting distance to Stettler.
Medium level physical requirements including lifting up to 40 pounds, frequent lifting and/or carrying of up to 20 pounds, bending, twisting, kneeling, walking on uneven ground, repetitive motion tasks and standing for extended periods.
Must have own CSA approved, steel-toed boots with 8-inch ankle support.
Must have good written and verbal English skills as well as be able to hear instructions and see work activities/hazards.
The following experience would be an asset but not required:
Experience with civil construction, which includes but not limited to shovelling, raking, operating walk behind plate compactors, setup and use of water pumps, installation of under ground water and sewer pipes.
Experience with operating skidsteer, tractors, etc.
