Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is looking for a passionate person to join the Alberta stewardship team as a Conservation Technician.


Working closely with NCC’s Central Alberta Natural Area Manager, this internship position will help the stewardship team conduct fieldwork in Central Alberta, process field data, and prepare reports. There are also opportunities to work closely with partner organizations, Indigenous-led groups, local stewards, and volunteers. This position is intended to provide an inspiring, learning-focused environment for a junior professional.


  • Term: May 6, 2024 to August 30, 2024 with the opportunity for extension;

  • Compensation: $19-24/hour;

  • Location: based out of Stettler, AB - candidate will be responsible for arranging transportation to a central meeting place on field days.

  • Evening and weekend work may be required but is infrequent.

  • Position will include “office work” that will be completed in a work from home setting - reliable internet connection is required.
