Business centre holds Job Fair

The Central Alberta Business Centre held a Job Fair on October 16th and 17th.


On Friday the business centre staff helped job seekers update their resumes and practice their interview skills in preparation for meeting employers today.


Employers present at the event included Walmart, Clearview Public Schools, Stettler Security Services, and Points West Living showing there is still opportunity in the Stettler community.


"We understand it has been a hard year for everyone and we wanted to help connect job seekers and employers in the area. The business centre has been working really hard to help build business community resources and we just felt like this was another way to help." Nick Schmidt, Manager Central Alberta Business Centre

Available positions discussed today were Customer Service Manager and cashiers for Walmart, Family Service Liaison and people interested in bus driver training for Clearview Public Schools, Security Driver detail for Stettler Security Services and Points West Living was present with Nurse Aid, Kitchen Aid and LPN positions available.


Schmidt said the feedback from attendees and employers was excellent and has already chosen the date for a Spring Job Fair.
