Stettler on 'Blue' watch status for COVID-19

The Government of Alberta has announced that Stettler and region has been upgraded to "Blue" on the COVID-19 interactive map. An area that is highlighted blue on the map indicates that there are at least 10 active cases or more than 50 active cases per 100,000 residents.

Residents of Stettler and surrounding areas now have access to COVID-19 testing for the remainder of the month of July at the Stettler Community Health Centre.

We have reached out to confirm testing times but have not had a chance to connect with the right person to confirm.

Walk-in testing is not permitted. Appointments must be made ahead of time by one of the following processes:

Option 1. Call 811 (there may be a long wait time) and tell them you'd like to be tested for COVID-19. They'll take you through the appropriate steps.

Option 2. Complete an online self-assessment and self-booking by clicking here.

Option 3. If you are not able to complete one of the above options, proceed to the front door of the hospital and get a referral from the screening personnel. You may then proceed to the Stettler Community Health Centre to be swabbed.

Please remember to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds and use sanitizer as often as you can if you are out in the community.

More updates will be posted.
