Rairdan Services, Inc is looking for a Program Manager for the SEED Program.
Seniors Engaging in Economic Development (SEED) is a program sponsored by Central Alberta Business Centre and New Horizons for Seniors to help engage seniors in the recovery of our community businesses through volunteer opportunities.
The Program Manager will be responsible for working with the Program Coordinator and local businesses and managers in the community to promote and host the following events until March 2022:
Behind the Business
A project to help shoppers get to know the faces behind our local businesses. We will be creating a promotional video of Stettler business owners in front of their business to help promote shopping local, and Stettler’s business community. The deadline for images is November 1st.
Paint for Prosperity
Paint for Prosperity connects main street businesses wanting to make improvements to their storefronts, with a youth board working on getting real-world project experience. The youth board will work with our SEED Ambassadors to facilitate main street business facade renovations.
Stettler Job Fair
Stettler Job Fair works to connect employers with potential employees. We host a Job Fair in the Spring and Fall to highlight local companies offering positions while also helping job searchers update their resumes.
Cash Mob
Cash Mob is a fun, surprise shopping event that we created to encourage shopping and supporting local. Shoppers will meet at Central Alberta Business Centre on the 3rd Wednesday of the month to find out who the mystery business will be, then all go to that business with the commitment of spending $20 or more.
Business Book Club
Business Book Club was created to connect like-minded individuals that were interested in discussing ideas from literature focused on professional and business development. On the 3rd Monday of the month, the Business Book Club will come together to discuss the book.
Wednesday Work Lunch
On the first Wednesday of every month, we encourage local businesses and professionals to come by the CABC for a hot lunch and good conversation between 11:30 - 1:00 pm. Price varies depending on the caterer.
