The new Pita Pit on Main Street opened today making this the third store in Alberta for the owners.
Trace Mutchler and wife Lucy Tantano formally opened the new Pita Pit restaurant in Stettler on Wednesday July 7, 2021 in the shopping center located on the south-west corner of Main Street next to Sobeys Liquor Store.
Mutchler says they had a soft opening on Tuesday as a way to give their staff a gentle introduction to the job.
Mutchler and his wife got into Pita Pit franchises in 2012 after they attended a conference for potential franchisees in early 2012. In December of 2012, they opened their first Pita Pit in the Clearview area of Red Deer. Shortly after, they opened a second one on Gasoline Alley.
The owners say the soft, and formal opening, both went well with great support from the community.
Like many businesses, dealing with post-COVID lockdowns, they’re waiting on delivery of equipment. Mutchler says they can do their main menu with what they have, but they are unable to offer Yogen Fruz, and their smoothies at this time. They are looking into alternative options in hopes of getting their full menu available since it sounds like the wait is going to be fairly long.
“We’re very happy to be here. Everyone who has come in has been very supportive and helpful.” -Trace Mutchler, Pita Pit Owner
For right now, the Pita Pit is open 11-8 Monday to Saturday, and 11-7:30 on Sundays.
