Where are you from? Where did you grow up?
Grew up in South Africa and then moved to Saskatchewan.
Why do you (did you) choose Stettler as home?
My husband got a transfer to Sobeys in Stettler.
What do you do? What is your full title?
Program Co-ordinator for the Action Group (Adult Services and Family Services)
Education?
Early Childhood Education, Educational Assistant, Some Social work and psychology classes. PECS, ABA, STAR AUTISM, Early Start Denver Model, Crisis Prevention, Positive Behaviour Supports, Scerts.
Family?
I am married to Tim and have a 14 year old son, Nathan.
Who inspired you in your youth? My dad was my inspiration. He was always positive.
Who inspires you now?
There are different people. Not anyone specific.
Do you have any hobbies?
Love to go on hikes, travel, kayaking, camping, reading and writing.
What are your plans for the future?
Would love to go on a missions trip to Watoto in Uganda. Would love to build an inclusive community where our children and adults with Special needs can thrive, get jobs, and stay in this community until an old age.
Anything else you would like to add about being a resident of Stettler County?
We live in Erskine, however we are part of Stettler. It is a small community with a big heart.
