Whether you are learning at school or at home, the Stettler Public Library has everything you need to succeed! Did you know that September is Library Card Signup Month? Be sure to pick up this important school supply for yourself and your children! Thanks to the support of the Town and County of Stettler, library cards are free for residents, and can be used anywhere in Alberta! Are you worried about library fines? The Stettler Public Library no longer charges them, just return what you borrow and all is good.
If you are looking for extra help with homework to make sure you get off to a great start, we are pleased to announce that free online tutoring will resume this fall. Megan is back to help with your homework challenges on Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-7 pm, by appointment. Call 403-742-2292 to book a time.
We also have a number of useful resources in the eLibrary including SOLARO! This resource is great for students in grades 3 to 12. From science and math to social studies and English, this database provides pre and post-tests, practice tests, notes and flashcards to help you master your studies. The content and information in SOLARO is very similar to the KEY and SNAP study guides, but is not displayed in the same order or format as the books.
Do you need books on a specific subject for a project, or are you looking for your next great read for a book report? Why not check CloudLibrary, Libby and the Alberta Research Portal to find something 24/7. All you need is your free library card. If you want help locating the information you need, harness the power of the library staff team to track down those harder to locate items. Call the Library at 403-742-2292 for further information.
