Travel to service areas for program promotions, employer connections, client support and training plan development

  • Advertising: Liaise with media regarding Marketing Plan for advertisements and promotions

  • Responsible for in-depth client intakes, employability assessments, and action plan development to make realistic employment goals

  • Assist clients to develop or update resumes, provide career testing, set career objectives, identify barriers to employment, job search strategies and provide orientation to services offered

  • Conduct Employer Needs Evaluations

  • Provide Employer Support Services: receive incoming employer data and training plan information via phone, fax, email or in person. Provide employers with resumes or contact information of potential job placement candidates for job openings. Help pre-screen candidates and schedule interviews.

  • Meet with employers to explain programming and guide in creating individual training plans, prepare documentation of client eligibility, gather required documents and submit for approval, prepare agreements and files for funded training placements, conduct program monitoring

  • Assist with career fairs and special events, specialized classroom instruction and employment training instruction

  • Assisting with administration of programs, client case management and duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary Certificate/Diploma in Human Services

  • Excellent public relation skills

  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

  • Organized with the ability to multi-task effectively

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Strong connection with local area employers an asset

  • Ability to support and enhance existing program delivery and administration

  • Class 5 Driver’s License with reliable transportation to travel throughout service delivery area

  • Require Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check

Job Type: Full-time
