Clearview Public Schools invites applications for an Educational Assistant position at Byemoor Colony School. Located approximately 15 kilometres northeast of Byemoor, AB, this school has 27 students in grades 1 to 8. This position is scheduled for approximately 15 hours per week and the schedule can be adjusted to suit the candidate (ie. full days or half days).
Under the supervision and planning of the classroom teacher, the successful applicant will provide inclusive learning and behaviour support to students in this school.
The successful applicant will:
Have a strong understanding and ability to implement literacy and numeracy programs with young students;
Be able to work in a collaborative team environment;
Be capable of working with children with a variety of needs; and
Be a self starter capable of working independently.
Special consideration will be given to those with an Educational Assistant Certificate or comparable experience. Educational Assistants receive a competitive salary of $16.00 to $24.00 per hour.
