Central Alberta Business Centre is hosting their first Job Fair on Friday, October 16th, and Saturday, October 17th, 2020.
On October 16th, CABC staff will be on hand to provide job seekers resume support as well as tips on how to do well in a job interview. This service is being provided for free to help attendees prepare for the Job Fair the following day.
On October 17th guests are encouraged to drop off a resume, introduce themselves, and make an impression with employers such as Clearview Public Schools, Walmart, Points West Living and Tim Hortons, all of whom are looking to fill positions.
According to CABC Office Manager Nick Schmidt, the goal of CABC is to connect job-searching individuals with potential employers.
“If you are looking for employment, a change in employment, or to improve your resume, this is the event for you.” Nick Schmidt, CABC Manager

The Job Fair is just one of the many business services that the CABC has planned for October. The month is packed full of events, including the Wednesday Work lunch scheduled on October 7th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm and the October Cash Mob is slated for Wednesday, October 14th. The first meeting of the Business Book Club meets at the CABC on Monday, October 19th where participants are invited to discuss the book “13 Ways to Kill a Community” written by former Battle River-Wainwright MLA Doug Griffiths, either virtually or in person at the Business Centre. At 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 22nd, Local developer Tracey Peters discusses purchasing & leasing commercial property.
The Central Alberta Business Centre Job Fair is a free event and is open to the general public. It will be held at the CABC office at 4840 50 Street Stettler in the lower level.
Central Alberta Business Centre will be hosting the next Job Fair in April 2021.
