We would like to offer the residents of Big Valley the opportunity to submit photos that show our beautiful landmarks and what our Village means to you. You would be required to sign over the rights to the photographs to the Village. We would use the photo’s within the Valley Whistle and on stettlerlocal.com under the Big Valley News. Photo submissions can be emailed to info@villageofbigvalley.ca.


There will be no edition of the Valley Whistle next Wednesday as the office is closed on Monday, December 27th, and Tuesday, December 28th.


2022 Cat and dog tags are now available at the Village Administrative Office. Tags purchased between December and February are $15.00 for spayed/neutered pets and $25.00 for unaltered pets. Tags purchased after February are $20.00 for spayed/neutered and $35.00 for unaltered pets. Replacement tags will be $5.00.


December utility bills will be sent on January 4th, 2022, as the office is closed on January 3rd.


A gentle reminder that outstanding property taxes are due on the 31st of December at 4:00 pm. The administration office will be open on December 29th, and 30th and all etransfers are accepted until the deadline. Outstanding taxes will be charged an 8% penalty charge, and notice will be sent out on January 5th, 2022.

The next Regular Council meeting is Thursday, January 13th, 2022, commencing at 6:30 p.m. All submissions to the council must be in the Administration Office by January 6th, 2022.
